Are you in search for a succinct and honest-to-goodness Insanity Workout Review? Well, you’ve come to the right place because after going through that intense 60-day program, I thought that giving my honest opinion about Insanity is the best way to help people decide if it’s a great fit for them before getting the program for themselves.

My Insanity journey was a bit struggling but being the competitive guy that I am, I exhausted all efforts to reach my personal goals for which an online trainer recommended this Muscle Fit Menswear. The intense cardio conditioning was “insane”, mind you, so before you embark on this journey, you better ask the experts or at least read my own Insanity Workout Review to get the whole picture.

Insanity Workout Review – Getting Started

Insanity is a brainchild of Shaun T., the same person behind another popular workout course, the Hip Hop Abs. If you’re quite familiar with interval training, then you’ll get the nitty gritty of the Max Interval Training which is the principle that makes Insanity at the top of its game.

Max Interval training is all about shaping up using long periods of intense cardio workouts followed by short periods of rest. By doing this, you’ll give yourself plenty of time to perform various reps which then help in toning up your body at a faster rate.

Insanity comes with 10 DVDs with additional two if you choose to buy the deluxe edition. This is a 60-day challenge so the program is divided into two phases or months. During the first month, you will condition your body for more intense workouts you are required to perform come Month 2 of Insanity.

Here are just some of the DVDs containing the workouts that are intended specifically for Insanity:
1. Cardio Power and Resistance (strengthening upper and lower body). In the beginning, I really found this workout to be tough. The warm up is one of the hardest for me because it’s a lot of leg burning exercises.
2. Cardio Abs (to get yourself toned up and get the snazzy abs like Shaun T’s). This one gets me sweating quickly for some odd reason. Love this short but effective workout for your abs. Funny thing is…you don’t do one single sit up!
3. Max Interval Circuit, Max Interval Plyo and Max Cardio Conditioning & Abs (intense max interval training workouts performed during the last stretch of Insanity). You’ll need to stop and re-oxygenize your body to make it through these “Max” DVD series workouts in the 2nd month.

Aside from the DVDs, one can also get an access to some useful add-ons like the Elite Nutrition Plan, online tools for peer support and top notch customer service, Insanity calendar and Fitness Guide.

Insanity Workout Review – The Pros and Cons

It’s hard to give honest Insanity Workout Review if you didn’t experience the intensity of the program firsthand. Insanity, in all fairness, is an intense cardio conditioning course and it’s during Month 2 that both the endurance and stamina of the participant will be put to test. Not only were the workouts harder, but they were longer as well. This will truly test your mental toughness.

My Las Vegas Fit Club Doing The Max Plyo Insanity Workout

I first used Insanity as a replacement to the P90X cardio workouts during my second month in the program. I found P90X cardio training effective but I wanted to step it up a notch so I tried to infuse Insanity to my daily routines. My experience was nothing short of challenging and gut-wrenching, but if you want to beef up your physique and sculpt the perfect abs within 60 days, you might just end up disappointed. If you’re going to compare P90X and Insanity, the former remains the best choice if your goal is to achieve that award-winning body.

Another disadvantage of Insanity is the fact that the second month of the program, when max interval training start to work, is just too intense for other people in the beginner level to take. The intense combination of cardio & abs, plyometrics and the main circuit can really make some people want to throw up, but once you get the hang of it or prepare well during the first month, you’ll surely reap the best rewards in the end. The best tip I got from Shaun T was to take breaks when needed, not before you need them. Don’t expect to keep up with the freaks on the DVD, unless you are a spartan warrior or have an elite level of fitness already. Do what you can and that’s the best you can do.

On the other hand, Insanity can be the most convenient and cost-cutting workout programs at home because you won’t need any equipment to get those routines done. Unlike P90X, you can complete the whole 60 days of the program by just using your own body as the main source of resistance.

My Final Thoughts & Review On The Insanity Workout

My P90X/Insanity Results – Insanity Workout Review

I have lost a total of 23 pounds by using a P90X/ Insanity Hybrid but I always firmly believe that Insanity has played a major part on my transformation. This alone gives me the privilege to share my story through an Insanity Workout Review. Since completing my first round of P90X/Insanity Hybrid, I continue to do Insanity at least 3 times per week with whatever workout I’m currently doing. It always puts you at your best, and that’s why I love it!

Some people ask me what program they can do to get ready for Insanity. I tell them the best way to prepare, is to start exercising daily and get your body used to moving around. A great workout for people that have been on the couch too long but ready to jump into exercise is Tai Cheng from Beachbody. This will get your joints and muscles prepared to move again in a very focused and detailed way. It also helps your breathing which is vital in fitness.

Overall, Insanity is a great workout program that is worth a try if you are not a beginner.  If you stick to your workout schedule and get the most out of the Insanity nutrition plan, I assure you that it won’t be long before you can write your own Insanity Workout review and share your inspiring story to everyone who needs it the most.
