I am by far not a know it all, and I ‘ll be the first to admit that female strength surprises me more times than not. I mean let’s face it, they carry a child for nine months and then go through giving birth which I cannot imagine the feeling. My wife and I had our first child back in 2001. Christian, our first son, had to be be delivered via C-Section. For those who don’t know what that is, it is a surgical procedure where the baby has to be delivered through an incision in the mother’s abdomen and a second incision in the mother’s uterus. Yeah, not fun.
The Female Display Of Strength | Is It God Given?
I don’t think there would be many males in their right mind out there that would say giving birth is easy. Which brings me to the subject of this post. Do females have an uncommon strength that males don’t have?
Do Females Have Better Hip Strength Than Men?
For example, the weakest part of my body when it comes to exercising are my hips. My strongest I would say are my shoulders. When it comes to working out my core, I struggle a lot with moves that involve the hips. For those of you who have ever done P90X“Ab Ripper X”, you would know that it uses a lot of hip strength as well.
On the days that I work out with my wife, I can run circles around her on the weight training. But when it comes to cardio core conditioning and using the hips, I look like the Kung Fu Panda “Po” trying to get up the stairs to fight Tai Lung. I am absolutely hurting. However, my wife and sister can absolutely do the hip moves easily and double the time I can do them.
I also have many females on our fitness team that can breeze through some of the moves that I have a hard time doing. For example, lifting your knee waist high and pulsing up and down. Then as you do that for a minute, extend that same leg in front of you without putting it down in between and then pulse that for another minute. That right there is not fun for me, but I try and try and improve every month. My hips have gotten stronger but I think that women naturally have stronger hips than guys.
Just look at this and you will see another example of what I mean.
Can All Males Build Up Unique Flexibility And Strength Like Females?
I agree both males and females do yoga and each individual must work up to greater flexibility and strength. But if you go out and public and ask people if they do yoga, from my experience, you will get more girls than guys that are heavily into Yoga and Pilates. It is a different kind of strength that females have and I was really put into place when I tried yoga for the very first time last year, once again, really respecting the females strength in how they showed calmness and power.
What’s your opinion about female strength and flexibility vs male strength and flexibility?
